Job Summary: As the Director of Operations for Meininger Hotels, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of hotel operations to ensure smooth day-to-day running and meeting budget targets. This includes overseeing front desk services, housekeeping, maintenance, security, and other operational functions while maintaining high standards of guest service and satisfaction. You will also develop strategies to improve efficiency and drive revenue growth through effective resource allocation and performance management.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement comprehensive strategic plans to optimize hotel operations and achieve business objectives.
• Lead and mentor a team of department heads in their roles as well as develop talent within the organization.
• Collaborate closely with other senior leadership members on cross-functional initiatives aimed at enhancing overall hotel performance.
• Oversee all financial aspects of hotel operations including budget preparation, expense control, forecasting, and cost reduction efforts.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to safety & security protocols and emergency preparedness procedures.
• Monitor trends in hospitality industry best practices and incorporate innovative approaches into daily operations to stay ahead of the competition.
• Drive revenue generation by implementing creative marketing campaigns across multiple channels such as social media platforms or local events calendars.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent experience required; advanced degrees preferred.
• Proven track record of success in hotel operations management roles preferably at large upscale properties.
• Strong understanding of hotel financials including budgeting/forecasting techniques and expense control methods.
• Experience working with unionized staff and contract negotiations.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal along with strong interpersonal abilities necessary to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels within the organization.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) essential; knowledge of property management systems highly desired.l
