Thomas Hagemann appointed as new COO of MEININGER Hotels

MEININGER Hotels is pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas Hagemann to the position of Chief Operating Officer, Europe, with effect from 1 August 2018. Reporting to CEO, Hannes Spanring, he will sit on the MEININGER Board and will be based at the Company's headquarters in Berlin, Germany.

Thomas has many years of industry experience where his proven track record of bringing new hotels into successful operation will perfectly complement MEININGER's long-term expansion plans. In his capacity as COO, Europe, he will oversee the group's regional hotel operations as well as Facilities Management. Thomas has an impeccable record of hotel pre-openings in over 20 countries where his most recent position as VP Technical & Pre-Opening Service, Radisson Hotel Group, based in Singapore, clearly demonstrates exceptional project management across a wide array of cultures and nationalities delivering on time and on-budget milestones.

Contracts for 14 new hotels in Berlin, Bordeaux, Brussels, Budapest, Dresden, Geneva, Glasgow, Heidelberg, Lyon, Milan, Munich, Paris, Zurich and Lisbon have already been signed. MEININGER has ambitious plans for growth - in this regard, the focus is no longer only on Europe - possibilities for an expansion to North America and Asia are also being sounded out.

In the 'TREUGAST Investment Ranking 2016', the MEININGER Group achieved an AA rating. The group is headquartered in Berlin.
