Head of Development Europe: Nicolas Capelle

MEININGER hotels are pleased to announce that Nicolas Capelle has been appointed as Head of Development Europe. Nicolas’s appointment is part of MEININGER’s intention to drive its development strategy to establish a presence in all key European cities within the next four years. MEININGER hotels currently have 16 hotels in 10 European cities.

Nicolas previously worked as Development Director France and Benelux for Motel One, where he identified and negotiated development opportunities and managed the whole development process since 2011. Prior to that he worked as a Consultant for PKF hotelexperts based in Vienna and in a Service Development Program for HILTON Brussels where he worked in seven different hotel departments.

Nicolas holds a Masters degree in Hospitality Administration from ECOLE HOTELIERE DE LAUSANNE - Lausanne, Switzerland and a Bachelors Degree in Business Economics from Vrije Universiteit in Brussels, Belgium.

Nicolas is multilingual with proficiency in Dutch, German, French, English and Spanish. His interests include rugby, tennis, skiing, photography and cooking. Married with two children he will be relocating to Berlin to take up his new appointment.

MEININGER currently operates 16 hotels in Europe, with a total of 7,025 Beds in 10 European cities including Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne, London, Munich, Salzburg and Vienna. It has ambitious plans for growth, and is keen to establish a presence in all key European cities within the next four years. New hotels have been signed in Munich, Amsterdam, Rome and two more in Berlin.
